The September issue is nearly done–we’re doing all the necessary tweaks and fixes now. So, as they say in 2003: Watch this space!
In the meantime, have a look at our new autumn site template, here, and let us know what you think. The illustration is an Ivan Bilbin, from The Beautiful Vasilisa (and I’ll post more on her later).
Before I go, a little pretty for a rainy Sunday afternoon…

Hurrah! I have a book on Bilibin and his work, very old and wonderful… the book too!!
Vasilisa the Beautiful/Fair is one of my favourite stories. My mum used to read it to me when I was very small and I loved the thought of Baba Yaga’s mortar and pestle and the house made of bones standing on one chicken leg… I’ve been looking for a house like that for quite a while, but no such luck… sigh!
We’re glad you liked it!
I have a few old books with his work; I’m hoping someone will do a re-issue soon.
